baja design lp4

Introducing the all-new Baja Designs LP4 IPT cover, designed to cover the inner IPT LEDs on the Baja Designs LP4 lights when used on the a-pillar mounting configuration. This plastic piece will block glare inside the cab and hood, allowing you to utilize the LP4 glare free. Making sure the elements don’t damage the internals of your performance lights first and every light we produce works in the worst of conditions is core of our exclusive MoistureBlock™ technology.

Ford LP4 A-Pillar Light Kit - Ford 2023-On F-250/350 Super Duty

This light pumps out 7,050 forward-projecting lumens and 1,700 lumens of dedicated peripheral lighting courtesy of our patented Integrated Peripheral Technology (IPT). The Polaris RZR Pro R was built for speed and Baja Designs has developed A-Pillar Kits for enthusiasts to do just that with confidence late into the night. Utilizing our XL series this allows the user to pick the lighting package that is best for their needs. Ranging from our XL Sport at 3,162 lumens to our brightest solution, our XL80 at 9,022 lumens. Baja Designs has also developed an LP4 A-Pillar kit for those who appreciate the additional light that our LP series provide with our patented Integrated Peripheral Technology (IPT). The IPT’s allow for a 200 degree spread of light and you no longer need to worry about that light being spread into the cab due to our provided IPT covers.

Baja Designs LP4

Designed for maximum spreadable light coverage on the trail, the ideal mounting application of the LP4 would be on the front bumper or roof. Although it was never designed to be used as an A-pillar mount light, we have noticed it becoming increasingly popular. There is one drawback, though, because the LP4 has integrated IPT LEDs that provide 200 degrees of spreadable light that spills onto the hood and reflects into the cab. However, there are a few workarounds, few people point them to the side, and some even just simply add tape to block the glare.

This feature allows air to travel through the front of the housing, over the rear heat sinks - drastically improving cooling capacity and performance. The addition of red, blue, or green backlight options alongside our original amber on the LP4 Pro gives enthusiasts the choice to customize their vehicle for shows, photo shoots or anywhere they want to bring attention. The LP4 IPT reflector covers from Baja Designs are engineered to cover the inner Integrated Peripheral Technology (IPT) LEDs on the LP4 Pro LED auxiliary light when used on the a-pillar mounting configuration.

We have used everything from tape and zip ties to get bikes and race cars to the finish line; although it doesn’t look pretty, it gets the job done. After presenting my original purchase receipt, a new light bar was sent out and delivered in a very short time period. I am excited to get this mounted and look forward to many more years of service with BD lights. ClearView™ is our proprietary optics, which are computer designed in-house by Baja Designs’ team of racing engineers who have first-hand knowledge of the lighting needs of all types of drivers and riders. With an extensive knowledge of construction methods, building techniques, and various materials, we have yet to encounter a project we cannot execute.

The LP4 is the smallest variant in the LP lineup but maintains all of the power and features of its siblings. The LP4 features a total of 8,750 lumens and a 200 degree spread of useable LED light. This light pumps out 7,050 forward projecting lumens and 1,700 lumens of dedicated peripheral lighting courtesy of our patented Integrated Peripheral Technology (IPT). To keep your light performing at its highest potential, the LP4 integrates our proprietary Direct Ducted Cooling (DDC) technology.

While some may argue that blocking the inner IPT covers might be counterintuitive, it isn’t. The Baja Designs LP4 outer LP4 is still 100% functional, shooting light to the outer side and using the forward-projecting light. The Baja Designs LP4 is the smallest variant in the LP lineup but maintains all of the power and features of its siblings with a total of 8,750 lumens and a 200-degree spread of usable LED light. This light pumps out 7,050 forward-projecting lumens and 1,700 lumens of dedicated peripheral lighting of our patented Integrated Peripheral Technology (IPT). Experience unparalleled clarity and confidence during your night rides and work tasks. Our high-performance auxiliary lights, switch panels, and battery terminals guarantee brilliant illumination for every journey.

The IPTs of the LP4 have been designed to provide up to 200 degrees of spreadable light, and this additional spread of light spills onto the hood and reflects into the cab creating a ‘glaring’ effect on drivers. We have solved this issue for those who choose to mount the LP4 Pro in the a-pillar configuration with a plastic piece mounted to block glare inside the cab and hood, allowing enthusiasts to utilize the LP4 glare-free. The kit comes with two(2) IPT reflector covers and double stick adhesive for ease of mounting. Sitting flush with the light allows for a clean and elegant look that does not interfere with the original look of the light.
